Building Dynamic Views

Elevation Views

There are three new dynamic view settings that give you finer control over Building Elevation dynamic views.

  1. The Building Pane of View Attributes for a dynamic view is enhanced a new Show Modified Forms setting Floor Lines. Together with the existing Grid Lines (formerly "Show Grid System") setting, this new setting allows you to display only gridlines, only floor elevation lines, both gridlines & elevations, or neither gridlines nor elevations for the given Elevation dynamic view. The new setting is disabled if the dynamic view is not an Elevation. The default state for the new setting is "on".

  2. The Grid System Settings dialog setting Display Label in Elevations now has an Off option. This setting prevents the gridlines of the given grid from showing up in Elevation dynamic views. Since each grid has its own settings, you can therefore turn off the display of individual grids in an Elevation dynamic view. This is in contrast this with the global Show Grid System setting listed above, which prevents gridlines from all grids from showing up in the Elevation dynamic view.

  3. The Elevation Annotation Settings dialog's Elevation Line Margin setting can now have a negative value. If this setting is set to any negative value (the precise value is unimportant), the floor elevation lines in an Elevation dynamic view are drawn with no gaps. That is, they extend all the way through the range of the dynamic view reference.
